On November 3, 2024, the second round of the “FLTRP Guocai Cup: Understanding Contemporary China” National College Students Foreign Language Competence Competition concluded at Xinjiang Science and Technology University. Our university secured one gold and one silver award in the International Chinese Language category, with the gold-winning entry advancing to the national finals on behalf of Xinjiang. Additionally, in the English Category across various tracks, our students earned two silver and eight bronze awards. The university was also honored with the Excellent Organization Award in the English Category at the Xinjiang regional competition.

National College Students Foreign Language Competence Competition: English Category

The“FLTRP Guocai Cup: Understanding Contemporary China”National College Students Foreign Language Competence Competition includes three categories: English, Multilingual, and International Chinese Language. Notably, its English series has been consecutively listed for seven years in the“National College Students Competition Directory”published by the China Higher Education Society, making it one of the longest-standing and most recognized foreign language competitions in China.

This competition aims to cultivate high-quality talent who“love China, understand the world, possess patriotism, professional expertise, and a global vision.”Our university places great importance on this event, with over 1,000 students participating. Through the competition, students broaden their horizons, develop perseverance, and actively embrace the mission and responsibilities of young people in the new era.
